My Little Yorkshire Rose

As pretty as a butterfly
That rests on it's repose,
As lovely as a setting sun,
That's my little Yorkshire rose.
As sweet as the fragrance
Of a flower in full bloom,
As soft as a summer breeze,
She brightens up my gloom.

She holds the tiny raindrop
That brings life to the world,
She fills my life with beauty,
To content my heart and soul,
Such beauty is a pleasure
To look upon, it's true,
She holds within her heart of gold
A love that shines right through.

As I look upon our friendship,
It fills my heart with pride
To hear her whisper gently,
A sweet love into my mind,
An inspiration to me,
She speaks with words of prose.
That's my angel Angie,
My little Yorkshire rose.

Best Friends Forever?

Poem:

Take out the picture,

Blow off the dust.

Remove the frame,

It's starting to rust.

Remember the times,

We had together?

What ever happened,

To best friends forever?

Friendship

Friendship is the fraternal love that is
Felt
Regardless of time.
In the walk of life, they are a supportive
Friendly hands.
Enduring trust and respect that is
Earned
Never fades. it is the shade during the
Everlasting sun.
Dearly loved people whom we should be
Thankful for ........

In Memory of my Bff Julianna

You were my best friend
I was there for you when nobody else was....
We shared everything from secrets to our first crush.
Between the two of us there is so much

That we've been through
Now that you're gone
I keep asking myself what could've I done
To prevent this or at least help you

By talking like old times
I know that this isn't my fault, but I
Can't help nut blame myself for your
Now everlasting absence from this earth

But not only will your achievements be
Left behind, but also your spirit, and
All the memories that you've made are now left behind so you'll always
Be remembered by what you did

I just wish you were still here, but
You're not, so I've locked away everything
About you so I'll never ever forget.
Vi sarĂ  sempre ricordato
I loved you like a sister I'll never forget you.... ever!!!!

My Hidden Friend

Searching for a friend
-Is easy to pretend.
Selecting a true friend,
-Is very hard to determine.

Someone you can trust
-With your secrets she can kept.
She’s righteously frank
In a way she doesn’t like it.

I’m grateful for my friend!
My real friend
Whenever I need her,
She’s always there to be my comforter.

My Friend, Thanks to You!

Walking to and fro..

Collecting thoughts about you.

What will be the best words to describe you,

Ah! Now I know, my different friend.. this one’s for you.

Various friends I met and greet;

Some stayed ,some left

Some I loved, some I hated

Some are virtual, some are factual.

Then came you;

You’re unique,

You’re keen,

You’re intelligent,

You’re clever

What else did i forget?

Oh, You’re a clown ?--

A clown in pain, as what you said,

You maybe mad,

But that doesn’t make you bad.

My friend, Thanks to YOU.

Never seen you sad,

But you know what’s in your heart.

Tries to make everybody laugh

You’re indeed very cool at heart!

Every friend we found,

Completes one piece of life’s puzzle..

Surely, you’ll be one remarkable piece in it.

My friend, Thanks to YOU.

You light up my once dim life!

My Best Friend

If I had one more time how much you mean to me I would tell you that you're a big part of my life, you're awesome and I love you with all my heart; that's why I want to let you know that I want to keep you in my life for ever and never let you go because you're more important than my favorite toy from my childhood, because you have shared your life, your fears and your stress with me; because I don't want no new friends if it means not spending my time with you. But just letting you know that you are my best friend<3 and want you to keep being my friend for the rest of my whole life.

In The End

You hit me, I hit you
Everyday, we make it this way
In the end, we don't care

Next day, it starts again
Smack, smack, 'Its your fault' ' No, yours'
In the end, its all fine.

Apart

I'd give anything for you to come back.
We've grown apart.
I don't know what to do.
My heart...

It's breaking and bleeding.
We've been together so long.
But twists and turns of fate
Drives us apart.

I though it was right, not wrong.
I don't know what to do.
Tears stream down my face,
I feel hopeless,
Out of place.

My mind races,
Is there no solution?
Can we not solve this?
Are
We
To
Go
Our
Separate
Ways?

Singing With the Larks

"I'll help", she shouted and got the ten rackabites in her care
She did'nt know them yet, but their father - she just would'nt dare!

The man was so lost to the world around and hardly seemed to react
To sight or sound or touch or wince, this, or for that matter, even that.

Sunday school was where they met and the children were so up-tight
Neither a nudge nor a push could get any of them to start a fight.

This was of course as long as he was around, with a hawk-eye and stick
How could their mother desert him now, and leave him a nanny to pick.

But here she was and he could'nt wait, to watch her energies succumb
Just like the three before her went, this one too would go all but dumb.

What was he to do but live by risk, chance, challenge and nerve
"One more", he told himself and turned, he would pay for her to serve.

She went along and was'nt oblivious to impish delight and glee
"I'll have fun", she thought and broke into a silent "la..la..lee.lee".

The orphanage for her was now a long lost thing of the distant past
She would run if she could, but the car was sure her idea of super fast.

The children too had thoughts you know and dangerous ones at that
They had twisted the previous one's tale and left a toad in her hat.

Violet was coming home now and Jane knew what to do and say
A pail of paint, some marbles and, "Ma'am, let me show you the way".

That was all, they had enough and more than their share
No mother, father all taut, how much more to show dispair?

It was only the stick they feared, everytime he was around
He seemed too bothered with everything - smell, sight and sound.

Violet was shown her room, a feast for her sore eyes for sure
She was going to make the most of this, and the country-side lure.

Day one, they sneaked, she missed the pail, as if expecting far worse
Day two, Wally the chameloen wriggled in time out of her purse.

But she was determined, you see, never to return to what 'was' home
This villa was now where she hoped to grey, with the spirals and dome.

In time the tables turned and now she tricked and fooled their lot
They wondered and wondered and then realized, it was her company they sought.

She too dared up trees and knew the most amazing songs after meals
They danced together and studied French and learnt to turn cart-wheels.

When she sang, they sang along and even danced the jig
Donny the touchy one with the dirty snout, loved her call him a 'pig'!

Soon Raven, Sam, Paul, Maggie, Winnie, June, Peter, Reese, Donald and Juliet
Loved her like the skin on their palms, she became their 'lovely Violet'.

A mother's love they knew not of and neither of others their own age
But a friend they had in her blue eyes, a book with color on every page.

Father did marry and they could'nt care less for tux or lace or frill
Now they had time to call their own, with Violet, in wamth and winter chill.

True friendships your know don't just happen, they are willed
They come to light to sparkle and be heard in voices that are stilled.

Friendships

Friends are the bones of strength that dare the storm with you,
They are the muscle power that make cynicism easier to chew.

Friends are the stars that shine to light the night as you grope
They are clouds by day that fill you with conviction and hope.

Friends fill the scent around with aromas that spread peace and calm
They soothe the racked nerves and work on stress like cooling balm.

These gifts of life are all around, if only you care to see, and lo!
Even strangers are simply friends we haven't yet met or know!

It's amazing how each one of us is cared for and gifted friends,
Who share in mirth and regret, and stand by till this life ends.

There is much to thank for those around, who care and walk the mile
And shade you from the harsh sun, as you rest but for a little while.

To add to joy there is so much that we friends can do when hand in hand
We make a difference to our kith and kin, and explore the beautiful land.

A Friend In Need!

A friend in need is a friend indeed,
As the popular saying goes;
Someone who is always there,
To help you with your woes.

I've been thru life a fair way along,
And many things I have learned;
There is nothing like forever friends,
One day all bridges shall be burned.

So to all those of you out there,
A warning I send loud and clear;
Beware of having friends aplenty,
Most will never hold you dear.

'Tis but a brief passing phase,
In each and everyone's life;
A friend will move on from you,
Causing a whole lot of strife.

And before you think me bad,
For saying things about friends so dear;
There are one in a million,
Who will always keep you near.

I have moved on myself,
From many a friend in the past;
For reasons that seem so petty,
I wish I had made them last.

So choose your friends with care,
For a happy life to lead;
Remember and act on the saying,
A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed!

Me, Raksha and My Wimpy Coffee

I cannot tell you how much it is
That I am missing you..
I cannot tell you how much it is
That I am starved of you..

I cannot express what you were
And are to me even today..
It is on wet, wet days like this
That I really wish you were there..

You have given me warmth
During the freezing times..
You were still there for me
Even when I worked for dimes..

You were there like a friend
When I needed to drown my tears..
You were my celebratory champagne
When I had conquered all me fears..

You've given me direction
When I had no place to go..
Whenever I got lost
I'd call help from your door..

When the maps confused me
And my cell had no range..
I'd come to you for a heavy dose
And there on, things would change..

You know what you mean to me now
That I have written this for you..
You know how much I am missing you
I'd settle for nothing other than you..

As much as I love you
With all of my heart..
You were special to me
Because someone else also played a part..

It is never just you and me
There was always one more...
And its the three of us
That were each other's special cure..

No matter how the days came
And no matter how they went...
I always knew you two'd be there
And somehow they'd be spent..

I long for the day again
That we come together..
You, Me and Raksha
All birds of a feather..

Poem About Friendship and Love

Love and friendship, there's a thin line between the two
Understanding it, can only make it through
Love and friendship, so close still so far
One bold step, can break you apart

From the group, you find a friend - so dear and near
Together you share every smile and tear
You then decide to cross the line, in need for more
Ah! lucky you are, if it doesn't get tear

Its neither my story nor of my friend's
But that's how these novels end
Its hard to express the feeling within
But you need to say it, if you want to win

Once broken into pieces, its really difficult to adhere
So think twice before you express yourself dear
Agreed, feeling within you, shouldn't always die
But expressing it right at right moment
Will always avoid that LIFETIME GOOD BYE! :)

A Friend!

On days when you feel down and out,
All alone and sad, ready to pout..
On days like those, a friend you need,
And that friend is me without a doubt!

May the memories of laughter shared,
Be enough to brighten up your day
And if that itself is falling short
May my presence keep unhappiness at bay.

Sorrow and grief I can't drive away,
But sorrow and grief I can share..
A smile on your face I hope to bring
This to God is my earnest prayer!

So when sorrow and grief come acalling you
Remember all the friends in your life
One among them you'll surely find
Who can help you with your strife.

And if you look and none can find
Don't be disheartened and lose all hope
For I will always always be there for you
To help you live, to help you cope.

Wherever I am I'll try to help
Be it by action, thought, or deed
Anything to bring back the smile
To see you happy; anything indeed!

What use is a friend I say to you
Who can't stop a friend from feeling blue
So remember each time you are sad
I'll always be there to make you glad!
